Hi, I’m Katie.
I became a licensed MFT in California in 2012 and began mentoring interns and associates in 2014. As the Clinical Director of a private residential program, I had the privilege of treating incredible young women facing eating disorders, trauma, and substance use challenges. In 2017, I made the adventurous move to Bend, where I embraced the role of Outpatient Director at a community mental health agency. I proudly obtained my MFT license in Oregon in 2018 and became an Oregon state-approved supervisor in 2019. Plus, I earned my CADC1 in 2019 and tested for my CADC2 in 2021, allowing me to guide others on their path to CADC certification!
Recently, I embarked on an exciting self-employment journey, developing my private practice and providing clinical supervision for interns and associates! This step in my career has allowed me to reconnect with my purpose and passion for helping others.
I have a beautiful blended family that includes my two incredible teenage sons, my wonderful partner Adam, his two children and our two adorable dogs, Cali and Poppy—our very own "Brady Bunch!" We absolutely love life in Central Oregon, enjoying activities like hiking, camping, paddling, skiing, and snowboarding. But my heart belongs to the beach, so we make it a point to road trip and vacation to the ocean whenever we can!
Katie currently sees clients online throughout Oregon and in person in Bend, OR.

Approach:
Individual + Couples Therapy
Individual Therapy is when a therapist helps one singular person through different areas of concern. Typically to address personal, professional, emotional, and psychological concerns.
Couples Therapy is when all partners in a committed relationship are treated at the same time by the same therapist. Typically to improve communication and build a stronger bond.
Areas of Specialty:
Trauma, Anxiety, and Relational Issues
Trauma is the lasting disruption to the nervous system caused by experiences that overwhelmed a person's ability to cope — like fight, flight, or freeze — that continue to affect emotions, relationships, and behavior long after the event is over.
Anxiety is the mind and body's threat-response system misfiring in the absence of actual danger — producing fear, worry, and physical symptoms that are meant to protect us but instead interfere with daily functioning.
Relational issues refer to recurring patterns of difficulty in how a person connects with others that show up as problems with trust, communication, boundaries, conflict, intimacy, or dependency across relationships.
Certifications:
A Level I certified RT therapist has been trained in Restoration Therapy — Terry Hargrave's research-based model combining Attachment Theory, mindfulness, and emotional regulation to help clients identify painful relational patterns and move toward genuine, lasting restoration.
